So beautiful!!!
So beautiful!!!
Intense!!! Reminds me of Slayer
Thanks so much! Love some slayer \m/
Damn dude this is epic!!! I’ve never heard you do a metal piece before, and I’m just blown away. Man I wish I had your compositional skills lol, GREAT JOB!!! :D
Thank you so much! I don't know what you're talking about though; you're a great composer! Sorry for not having time earlier, but I just listened to "The Greatest Challange", and I loved every second of it. Keep up the great work ;)
So beautiful! I especially love the flute and the violin in this. Man you were in the zone with this one, awesome work! :)
Thank you so much Fate!! The flute and violin (along with the clarinet) are always a yes for me when it comes to solos and I just love making melodies with them
Super fun song! I love all of the old school video game influences in this. Great job! :)
Wow this is sooo good!!! It sounds like it could be from an awesome soundtrack to a movie that I would totally want to watch based just on the soundtrack alone. The more I listen to this the more I love what you've done here (I'm currently listening to it on repeat lol). I'm really interested in knowing which VST's / sample libraries you used. :D
Hey FateModified!
I appreciate the time you spent in letting me know your thoughts. This piece of music was interesting to me, because, while mixing it, I felt there were so many flaws in how it sounded together that the emotional appeal I first had when composing it was drained out of me. It's a strange relationship I have with music because of the different roles I have to partake in if I were to release a finished product on my own. It first starts out with intrigue and joy during the writing process, but, since I have to wear my mixing engineer hat, I then have to think analytically to figure out how to make it sound as clear as possible while still keeping its integrity in timbre. Either way, I'm encouraged. As far as instrumentation, the strings are 8Dio's latest Solo Cello and Solo Violin (the studio quartet series), and the synths in the beginning are a mix of Rob Papen's Blue and Logic Pro's ES2 synth. I recorded my own piano if that isn't apparent by now. From 1:23 to the end, it's just 4 instruments: piano, cello, violin, and a pad synth.
Nice and chill groove, I love it! I've been wanting to try some lo-fi hip hop myself for a while. I just got Reels by AudioThing and it's really cool for that kind of thing, so I'm excited lol. Anyway great job dude, and good luck to you on this round! :)
thanks, man! good luck to you too :D
Cool beat yo! Just wondering, what is the art that inspired this?
I posted it in the AIM thread.
Man I absolutely LOVE that part at 1:55 where it transitions from the flute melody and harp to the horns and drums. I don't know why that was so good, I can't put it into words, it was just unexpected and such a drastic change but it worked soo well. I really love the outro. I love the slow down and added reverb, it's such a calming end. I really like the choral vocals in this but I think they could use more processing such as EQ and different type of reverb to make it mix better. Same thing with the strings, the composition and arrangement is really awesome and beutiful but the reverb/EQ is not optimal in my opinion. That's probably due to the orignal samples themselves, but still I feel different mixing techniques could make this sound quite a bit better, in particular the choir voice and the strings. I really like this. The drums are good too imo. I love the spirit this gives off, cinematic and inspiring for sure. :)
