Another amazingly beautiful song. I don't think I can find words to describe how touching and moving your works are to me. Someone needs to use this in a movie or something. It is very powerful and tender. Awesome! Keep it up! :D

Qiz responds:

Powerful and tender...That is a cool concept! Thank you. :)

I love this song! It reminds me of Sonic the HedgeHog games from Sega Genesis. I love your style, and everything sounds perfect to me. Keep up the great work! :D

Stratales responds:

Thanks! You aren't the first to mention the Sonic sound-alike on my songs. Having not listened to much of any of the soundtracks, I don't take any inspiration from the series, so I don't know where my style comes from, ha.

I love the melodies and the whole feel of this song. I also really like the way it slows down unexpectedly about half way through. Good job! I look forward to hearing more :D

Also, it's probably just a coincidence, but the melody playing from 1:50 to 1:53 reminds me of a melody from a song in the game Super Meat Boy, which also has great music by the way (Danny Baranowski is my favorite video game music composer).

ikitty2 responds:

Hey thanks bro, your comment means a lot :) I wasn't sure about that little slow down thing in the song or if people would like it or not, so I'm glad somebody thinks it works. And I, too, really like the music in Super Meat Boy, but considering I haven't actually played it in a while, I'm not sure if I really took that much inspiration from it. It's possible the mood or feel of the song was in part inspired by SMB, but I wasn't consciously trying to make it sound like a song from that game.

Either way, I'm glad my music can almost be compared to something of that caliber, so thanks again. I'm still kind of a noob at writing this stuff, so I'm still improving and I haven't quite found my own style yet, but I hope to bring you and other people some more stuff soon :)

Nice tune, and really good for a first song. I like the way the drums appear in the middle of the song and double speed and lead into the low bass track. I love arpeggios too. Good work! :D

xWhitexFlamex responds:

Thanks, I really appreciate your review. And yeah hah I might have went a tad overboard on the arpeggios but it was just for the fun of it, though I'm glad you liked them. I love how there really are no limits to creating music electronically, and being a guitar player who likes to play arpeggios, creating them like this is just as fun.

Please don't torment the short people! Haven't they suffered enough already? :)

Sorry, I kinda don't like it either. It's OK, but just not that great. But keep it up!

Apilot responds:

your music isnt too bad but your review skills are sub par lol

I don't know what to say about "I Don't Know." At least we both agree on something. Just kidding, lol.

I like the ambience and the way you have different melodies and beats throughout the song. I noticed you used the same underlying chord progression from beginning to end. I think that makes it a bit repetitive sounding, which is not necessarily bad, since it makes it kind of a chill-out-and-meditate song. For my taste, I would like to have heard some interesting drum beats and bass line added in this song. I think that would make the song seem more complete. But that's just my taste. Good job!

Crimsonskies455 responds:

Thank you so much for the awesome review! I will definitely take into account the drum beats next time, and the chord progression!

Sounds really good. How long ago did you pick up making music, I wonder?

JRob responds:

Oh damn, I can't remember exactly when. I used to write short themes and melodies on sheet music back in my late-elementary school years (2005-06) after I started taking piano lessons. In late 2007 - early 2008, I started using a MIDI-based composition software with a staff editor, piano roll editor, and a channel editor; it only saved as MIDI files and was pretty terrible overall, but I feel like my best songs composition-wise were done on it (but MIDI sounds like shit). I upgraded to MusicStudio on iPod in early 2010; it lacked some of the nice features my MIDI software had (like automation - ugh, I hate not having automation), but sounded better and had some better features and songs could be exported as .wav, .midi, and .mp4 files. It wasn't until the very end of 2011 that I got FL Studio, and I've pretty much taught myself most of all the techniques I use.

Pretty cool. Sounds really good!

LunyAlex responds:

Thank you!

Sounds really good. What are you using to make this?

thederpgamer responds:

the program is called "GXSCC" it requires very little skill so it's good for me and thank you
