[Spiraling Tower]

Really great song. I don't hear what sounds 70s about it. I like it a lot, so I guess that means I like 70s music too. I never knew! : )

[Awaken The Beast]

Great stuff! I like the "monk humming" (I'm not sure what the correct term is) throughout a lot of the song. And it's great how the drums speed up with lots of double bass pedal at 1:13. It's a very dynamic and melodic song with a sense of evil rising.

I love the solo stuff the organ is doing throughout the song. The only thing I can find to complain about is that I'm not much into the solo groove at the following places in the song:
1:43 to 1:49
2:43 to 2:49
2:55 to 3:01
To me, it just seems a bit out of place with the rest of the song. I know Dream Theater inspires a lot of your work. I love Dream Theater too, but I have the same problem with a lot of their songs where the solo/melody just changes to something that to me seems a bit weird and stands out for attention drawing away from the rest of the song. But that's just my view, and I know there are a lot of Dream Theater fans out there, so sorry for nitpicking.

The proper term is Choir. :P

Though, personally I like that solo groove, it serves as a good buffer to the Chorus, and build for the ending. But hey, to each their own. ;)
And yes, Dream Theater is a major influence, but theres not much in the DT department here. No Odd time signatures, a standard song arrangement, having the song shorter than 10 minutes... XD

[You have 10 seconds]

This song is beautiful and definitely cinematic. I love it! The only reason why I'm giving it 4.5 stars instead of 5 is because the transition from powerful back to peaceful at around 1:05 to 1:07 seems a bit awkward. I think cutting the powerful part suddenly and then drawing back into the peaceful can work well for this song if it is done in a more dramatic way, for example, by adding a drum on that last note rather than just a stop on the guitar. The way it is, you can hear the reverb effect from the guitar once it cuts off, and that just doesn't sound quite right. Just my thought though. To me the rest of the song sounds perfect, and it would definitely make for a great theme song to an emotionally charged movie. Well done!

This is a really good song for a video game. It has good melodies, good beat, and I really like the sliding voices as well. One of my new favorites!

[We Sell Robots]

I think this sounds like it would fit well for a flash game in a scene inside a robot store. It has a very innocent quality to it, a bit child-like in a way.

I think the section from 1:21 to 1:52 could use a little more variation because it seems a bit repetitive at that part to me.

My favorite part is when the melody does the short little 2-second arpeggio thing at 1:19 to 1:21 and again at 2:15 to 2:17. If you can figure a way to expand on that short little bit and work it into other parts of the song, I think it would be good. But I'm no expert. Just my thought :D

I really like the complexity in this song as well as your others. I really like the fast melodies and the way the song has many different variations throughout. I look forward to hearing new works from you. You now have 9 fans instead of 8, lol :D

Back when I made this, DnB was a very new concept to me, and normally people would look at me like "wat r u do" when it comes to this song. Everything is busy in this song, Drums, Bass, Harmonies, and Melody... amazing how I pulled this off.
Retrospect aside, thanks a lot for the review! I do really like reviews n' such.

I typically engage in Mathcore with various additional Sub-genres slapped on from time to time, but I don't post much music on NG.
Thinking I might change that though, we'll see ;)

Well, I don't know how to play piano either. I have played around with one from time to time over the past few years, but never learned the correct way. So I'm probably not the best person to review a piano song, but from an artistic perspective I really like this song. I like the way you were able to put many things in that are unexpected such as tempo changes, volume changes, arpeggios, etc. It makes the song very interesting. It does sound sad to me, and I think it does a very good job at expressing the feeling of loss. When a person feels a great loss, sadness is often accompanied by overpowering feelings of anger that can appear suddenly as if out of nowhere. So I think the way that the piano gets loud at 2:25 and erupts through an ascending and descending arpeggio evokes this feeling of anger that is often felt with loss. Great job. Your songs express a richness of art that is not found really often these days. Keep it up!

[March of Sadness]

Very peaceful and enjoyable to listen to. It makes me feel very relaxed. Maybe it's just my speakers, but the high-pitched synth that eases in and out throughout much of the song gets a bit loud in the treble region at certain points: 0:47, 1:03, 1:19, 1:35. But it's a very good song.

Thanks for listening! After reading your comment I played this song through 3 different types of speakers, and on some of them, the high pitched synth is way more noticeable. Thanks for pointing this out! I'll have to listen to my future submissions on different speakers before I submit!
